Fulham keen on Norwegian defender

Molde defender Vegard ForrenFulham are set to make a January bid for FK Molde defender Vegard Forren, according to reports from talkSPORT.

The 24-year-old has recently broken into the Norwegian international set-up thanks to a string of solid performances in the nation’s domestic league. This has attracted the attention of Premier League and other European clubs.

Fulham are one interested party, with Martin Jol rumoured to be keen on adding the Molde man to his defensive options.

Although there are a number of teams across the continent believed to be interested, the presence of coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may persuade the defender to move to England.

Solskjaer was a part of the famous Manchester United treble winning team and enjoyed a long and successful career in the Premier League.

As well as the West London club, Everton are thought to be monitoring the situation and could rival any did made.

Forren helped his club clinch the Norwegian league title last weekend, following a successful year.

The tough tackling centre-back is highly thought of by his club, for whom he has made almost 150 appearances.

Although they would ideally like to keep hold of one of their stars, it’s likely that a move abroad would be too good to turn down.
