The Sun have reported that Fulham are set battle Inter Milan for highly-rated Bordeaux winger Malcom, but he could be just that man that Wolves need to fire them up the Premier League table next season.
After signing Jean Michael Seri from Nice for £25m, Fulham are now looking to secure the services of another Ligue 1 star from last season.
As well as Inter Milan, Malcom has also been linked with Tottenham this summer and The Sun have said that the 21-year-old will snub the Italian giants if he can secure the contract he wants in the Premier League.
According to The Sun, Inter’s offer consists of a season-long loan deal worth £8.8m, with an option to buy the year after for a further £26.5m. The fact that Fulham are willing to challenge Europe’s biggest clubs for transfers has shown their ambition and this would certainly be their record deal if they do go for the Brazilian.
With this in mind, fellow promoted club Wolves should do all they can to bring Malcom to Molineux ahead of their return to the Premier League next season.
Born in Sao Paulo, Malcom moved to Bordeaux from Corinthians in January 2016. Last season for Bordeaux he scored 12 goals and created eight more from the right-wing, as he came to the attention of clubs across the continent.
Valued at £40.5m by Transfermarkt, he has the pace and trickery to be a huge success in the Premier League and would make Wolves an incredibly dangerous attacking force whilst also being another statement of their intent.
With left-winger Diogo Jota making his loan deal from last season permanent this summer, boss Nuno Espirito Santo could play with the Portuguese man on the left and Malcom on the right of a front three. He also has a wealth of strikers to choose from including Rafael Mir and Leo Bonatini.
