Hull City keen on goal-machine forward amid first-team crisis

Hull are keen on FC Sion’s highly-rated striker Moussa Konate as they prepare to enter the coming season with a heavily depleted first-team, according to reports from TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Tigers have endured a disrupted pre-season ahead of the coming Premier League campaign, in which they’ve lost manager Steve Bruce and a host of key players to injuries.

Indeed, Hull had only 12 fit senior stars for a recent friendly against Torino, but reports claim they are attempting to add to their ranks with Konate being eyed.

The Senegalese forward plies his trade in Switzerland for Sion, and has netted a respectable 26 goals in 59 league appearances for them since moving to the club from Genoa in 2013.

It’s understood that, despite there not being a permanent manager in place at the KCOM Stadium, the Humbersiders are keen on the 23-year-old, who would seemingly challenge Abel Hernandez for a starting berth.
