Hull City may be experiencing mixed emotions with their Premier League form this season but the Tigers marched through to the EFL Cup semi-finals last night after defeating Newcastle United on penalties.
The Tigers may still be seen as outsiders to win the first piece of silverware available to Premier League sides this season but Mike Phelan’s side will fancy their chances, especially if Manchester United and Arsenal fail to advance this evening.
Whilst it’s not the most prestigious trophy available within English football, a trip to Wembley is something the Tigers would love to enjoy and they’re now just two matches away from that goal, having made history last night.
1 – Hull City will play in a League Cup semi-final for the first time ever. Roar.

Hull have never reached this stage in the competition in their history and will be looking to make it a season to remember, after suffering heartbreak in the final of the FA Cup two-years ago when Arsenal came from 2-0 down to win 3-2.
The Tigers will have their eyes on the draw for the semi-finals, which will provide a double header against Liverpool, West Ham/Manchester United or Arsenal/Southampton.
