Hull enter surprise Sissoko talks as Diame nears Newcastle move

Hull have entered talks regarding a shock move for ex-Liverpool midfielder Momo Sissoko, according to reports from France Football.

The Tigers are now back in the Premier League, but Mohamed Diame, who starred as they rose out of the Championship, is on the verge of moving back down to the division with Newcastle.

And amid this, reports have revealed that Sissoko is being targeted.

The 31-year-old is currently a free agent after leaving Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua and boasts a vast level of experience after along career that’s seen him ply his trade in England, Spain, Italy and France, as well as the Far East.

Given that he operates in central midfield, the Malian could be a replacement for Diame.

Sissoko was somewhat forced out of Shanghai Shenhua’s first-team following an influx of non-Chinese players, which swelled their quota.
