EURO 2016-bound striker could yet secure Leeds move

Northern Irish striker Kyle Lafferty could join Leeds on an emergency loan deal in the coming days, according to reports from the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The 28-year-old forward fired his nation to a stunning spot in EURO 2016 this coming summer, netting seven goals as they topped Group F.

However, Lafferty’s domestic situation looks far less fruitful, with the towering forward in the wilderness at Norwich.

He’s played just 13 minutes of league football this term, but reports claim that, despite the winter window having closed, a move to Leeds could go through soon.

The Championship side can take advantage of the emergency loan window – which opens on 9 February – to take Lafferty to Elland Road on a 93-day basis.

The move is likely to appeal to the player, who is sure to be eager to stay match sharp in the run-up to the European Championships.
