Leeds fans were a little disappointed when Arsenal made the decision to recall Eddie Nketiah from his loan spell at the beginning of January, not least because of fears that he could have joined a Championship rival.
Nottingham Forest, Bristol City and Sheffield Wednesday were all reportedly interested in the 20-year-old, but the Athletic’s David Ornstein has now confirmed that he will stay in North London for the remainder of the season.
While that should be greeted as a positive by the Leeds faithful, some have instead questioned the motivation of the Gunners, as they believe his development may have been better served by staying at Elland Road.
Surely he'd get more time with us than Arsenal though and Bielsa is a better manager for his development than Arteta. Wierd move from Arsenal

surely would have got more game time at leeds!?!

Recalled from Leeds due to lack of game time, so he can sit on the bench at Arsenal.
Smooth brain tactics.

Those supporters raise a fair point. He may have only enjoyed two league starts with the Whites but he was spending time in a winning environment under the tutillage of a great manager in Marcelo Bielsa.
Call yourself a Leeds expert? How much did each of these January signings cost?
There are still plenty of games left for Leeds to play and Nketiah was ideally positioned to take the place of Patrick Bamford if ever he was unavailable, such as the recent visit to Birmingham.
At Arsenal the striker will likely find it difficult to displace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette in the team, and that means his ability to progress could be hindered by a lack of game time in North London.
Other supporters are choosing to see the silver lining in Arsenal’s decision, as rivals missing out on Nketiah means he won’t be able to score against the Yorkshire outfit, and potentially derail their promotion bid.
Least he can’t score against us now. Bielsa is a genius.

Well that’s one that can’t come back to haunt us this season. Fair play to the lad

One rival in particular is the focus of some fans – Bristol City – or rather their manager, Lee Johnson, who they have decided to mock as part of a long history of feuding between Johnson and Leeds fans.
Lee Johnson’s little man syndrome going to reach new heights tonight

Check on Lee Johnson for us Phil please

In other transfer news, Leeds fans have been discussing a potential signing which could put the team back on course for promotion after one win in seven.
