Leeds United fans on Twitter are expressing sympathy for Yosuke Ideguchi as his spell at the club looks to be coming to an end.
The Japan international never got a chance at Elland Road, failing to make a single appearance for the Whites after joining them in 2018.
He instead spent the last 18 months out on loan at Cultural Leonesa in Spain and then Greuther Furth in Germany.
Now he seems destined to head back to his home country as he edges closer to a move to Japanese side Gamba Osaka.
This would signal a return to his former club for the midfielder, and he will certainly be hoping to get his career back on track in the J1 League.
He is seemingly quite a talented player, making 12 appearances for Japan at such a young age, and Leeds fans have expressed their sympathy that his time in Yorkshire didn’t work out.
Here’s what the Elland Road faithful have been saying on Twitter…
Gotta feel for the lad, we haven’t half stalled his career

Shame, never got a proper opportunity.

Probably makes sense for all parties at this point. Feel sorry for the bloke, hope it works out for him going forward.

lad was loaned out to qualify for work permit .. then sent to Germany to get more European experience but unlucky to suffer a bad leg break .. wish him well if he is to be sold, hopefully he’s fully recovered & shows his ability, don’t get why people diss him for nowt #lufc

Always wanted him to get a chance and do well. But if MB isn’t interested then need to get rid and free up money. Hope he gets his football back on track though.

The club really let this lad down!

Another failure from Victor Orta. I feel really sorry for this lad. The cultural challenge was big enough but a combination of injury and insufficient ability has turned his stay in Europe into a nightmare. Orta buys in bulk in the hope of the odd one making it. Most wont.
