Patrick Bamford is officially fit for Leeds’ trip to Bolton this weekend, so should Marcelo Bielsa surprise the hosts and chuck the summer signing straight in?
Bielsa has confirmed that Bamford is available for selection on Saturday and could even start, Phil Hay reports.
While Izzy Brown is not quite fit enough to feature in competitive matches yet, Bamford has recovered in miraculous time from the knee injury he suffered back in September.
Former Wigan & Fulham man, Jimmy Bullard recently showed that he’s still got it! Check out the video below...
So should Bielsa mix things up and start him up front with Kemar Roofe? There’s certainly an argument that he should.
Roofe has been unstoppable this season, but he has found himself slightly isolated at times, so having a 6 ft 1 in strike partner would help him see more of the ball.
The Whites also have a tendency to dominate games without finding that cutting edge, and Bamford’s hat trick for the Under-23 side this week will have him absolutely full of confidence.
Bolton aren’t an easy side to break down, but the physical presence of Bamford alongside Roofe would give the home side plenty of problems, not to mention the sheer goalscoring instincts from having two red-hot strikers on the pitch together.
So, Leeds fans, should Bamford go straight into the XI? If so, who should he replace? Let us know your thoughts and vote in the poll below…
