Leeds United suffered just their third defeat of the season on Saturday evening as they were thrashed 4-1 by West Brom, and goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell should pay the price for his mistakes.
West Brom started the game brightly but the sides went into the break with the score still at 0-0. In the second half though, Hal Robson-Kanu, Matt Phillips, Harvey Barnes and Dwight Gayle put the Baggies into an unassailable lead.
Peacock-Farrell had no chance for Robson-Kanu’s opener, but the 22-year-old stopper should really have saved Matt Phillips’ long-range strike. Phillips struck the ball from at least 25 yards, and with a stronger hand the Leeds keeper would have easily tipped the ball around the post.
Leeds never really looked in the game though and this second goal almost confirmed the Baggies’ victory over Marcelo Bielsa’s side with just over an hour gone.
So, Leeds fans, we want to know whether you feel now is the time for Chelsea loanee Jamal Blackman to step into the starting line-up after the international break. Have your say by voting in the poll below.
