HYS: Which striker should Leeds hand a chance in Bamford’s absence?

Leeds United have been in tremendous form so far this season, establishing themselves as the early pacesetters in the race for promotion from the Championship.

However, Marcelo Bielsa’s side have been handed a blow with the news that summer signing Patrick Bamford will be sidelined for a number of months following an injury sustained in action with the U23 side last Friday.

According to The Yorkshire Evening PostBielsa has decided not to move for a free agent to bolster his options in attack and will instead hand the young strikers in the squad a chance to shine – with the report identifying Tyler Roberts, Ryan Edmondson and Jack Clarke as the players fighting for an opportunity.

Of the trio, only Edmondson has experience of playing in the Championship and that only came as a cameo off the bench in the final day of last season. Despite those minutes being limited, he is the man that Leeds should call upon behind Kemar Roofe.

So, Leeds fans, do you agree that Edmondson should be handed his chance? Or should Bielsa call upon Roberts or Clarke? Have your say in our poll below…
