If Leeds sell Ronaldo Vieira, it says all you need to know about Radrizzani’s intentions

Leeds United’s mettle is set to be tested by an £8million bid for talented youngster for Ronaldo Vieira from Cardiff City according to The Sun, as cited by Inside Wales Sport.

What’s the story?

The 19-year-old defensive midfielder has impressed for the Whites since making his debut in 2016 and he has gone on to make 63 appearances for the club, scoring one goal.

The hot prospect impressed so much for the club in his first season that he was named the Leeds Young Player of the Year and was recently named 20th in the CIES list of the most promising players under 20 in Europe.

Now according to the report, newly-promoted Cardiff City are preparing an £8million bid for the young fan favourite who is valued at £1.8million on Transfermarkt.

A test of Radrizzani’s resolve

Leeds fans would be gutted to see their finest young talent leave the club, but £8million is a substantial bid for Vieira that they could use to rebuild the squad.

Of course, it is highly likely that Vieira will be worth many times that in a few years and it would be a real sign of their intent if they resist the Premier League club and then go onto strengthen.

If they sell, it would be the latest episode of what is proving to be a disappointing transfer window for Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani.
