Leeds United fans on Twitter have been quick to disagree with one user who believes that the club should cash in on Kalvin Phillips for £15 million this summer.
This comes after the midfielder was linked to Bournemouth for that fee by Football Insider.
After that report was published one fan tweeted:
Give me £15m for Kalvin Phillips right now if that can be reinvested with 3 x £5m players. I’d snap your hands off tbh. #lufc

Many other supporters strongly disagreed.
Lots of members of the fanbase were dumbfounded by Scott Eaglen’s opinion, as they believe their star man to be worth a lot more than that due to his incredible performances this season – and they are probably right given what the transfer market is like in this day and age, and with the potential tha player clearly has.
It remains to be seen whether or not Bournemouth will actively pursue Phillips, but if the Whites do allow him to leave for the reported fee, it will be a hugely unpopular decision.
The south coast club have a history of taking Leeds’ prospects off their hands with Lewis Cook joining the Cherries back in 2016.
Here’s how the Elland Road faithful responded on Twitter…
Snap your own hands off so you can never type anything quite so daft again.

Nobody in their right mind would swap Phillips for 3x foreshaw

Perhaps give up on the writing career pal.

What a silly thing to say. Kalvin in couple of years will be known as best holding midfielder in England.

Don’t be daft. Hes arguably the most improved player under Bielsa. He’s also only 23 and as such should be kept and have the team built around the likes of himself, Shackleton, Clarke etc
I get your point, but would rather see Bamford go for a few mil and reinvest that.

Honestly this is the most daft thing I’ve seen on twitter for a while #LUFC
