Leeds captain Liam Cooper tweets as club celebrate 100th birthday

Thursday marked 100 years since the formation of Leeds United.

The Yorkshire club have accomplished a lot in that 100 year period, with the Whites winning multiple league titles, FA Cups and reaching a European Cup final.

While they may no longer be mixing it up with the biggest teams in the world on the European stage, their current crop of players are no less passionate than those who came before them, and Liam Cooper’s tweet on the special day for the club perfectly encapsulates what Leeds United are all about.

Cooper knows that it’s not all been plain sailing for United throughout their history, but he’s well aware of the values that make Leeds one of the country’s most passionately supported clubs.

The Scotland international states that there have been ups and downs, but he says that everyone is always together throughout the good and the bad.
