If you consider the bigger picture, those worries seem warranted with Leeds failing to sign a new striker and only adding Ben White in defence.
However, they’ve now been left enraged again following comments made by midfielder Adam Forshaw.
Speaking to the club’s website, he said: “I’m excited, we just want to go one step further than last season now.
“Everyone poses their own threats in the Championship, it’s about whoever has prepared best and who turns up on the day.”
However, it doesn’t appear as though supporters took those words too kindly.
One fan revealed his dismay by saying Leeds didn’t look like a club who wanted to go one better at all whilst another made claims that they hoped he wasn’t talking as though he was going to be in the starting XI.
A further fan complained that he was gobbing off as one individual suggested Leeds hadn’t prepared well at all, judging by the fact they’d shipped players out without replacing them.
Forshaw spent a period out injured during pre-season, being replaced by Mateusz Bogusz against Western Sydney Wanderers. And following his comments, it doesn’t appear as though some fans would welcome a return.
Here’s the best of the reaction.
We want to go one better than last season?? Really? Because it looks like we don’t to me, we ain’t even bothered about going for a proven CB or a proven striker, we need both if we want promotion

As long as he doesn’t turn up at all, we’ll be sound.

Using last seasons standard response during the run in.

Its about having a quality squad that will compete and stand a chance of success. This one won’t unfortunately.
Ditching Pontus and no quality players in = stupid.

Ones who have prepared best are the ones who improve on last season not ship all players out and not replace them….
