Leeds fans annoyed at yet another Friday night fixture

Leeds United fans have been reacting to the news that another fixture has been moved to a Friday night, their fifth of the season.

Despite rumours the match may be called off due to weather concerns, The Yorkshire club travel to the Riverside to face Middlesbrough tonight, their third Friday night fixture of the season so far.

Today it was announced that the fixture between Leeds and Aston Villa has been moved to Friday 13th April because it was selected for viewing on Sky Sports, adding to the Friday night match with Bolton to come at the end of March.

This means Leeds will have played on a Friday night a minimum of five times this season, likely to be more than any other Championship club.

Paul Heckingbottom’s team got a much needed win against Brentford last weekend, their first league win since the 2-1 win at Burton Albion back on Boxing Day.

Needless to say, plenty of fans are fed up with the Friday night fixtures, while others are just wondering when they’ll rename Sky Sports to something more appropriate.
