Leeds saw two players depart for Championship rivals on transfer deadline day as first Tom Pearce completed a permanent switch to Wigan.
Yet, Clarke Oduor, rather more surprisingly, headed to Barnsley late in the window too.
The versatile wide man was behind a number of players in the pecking order, particularly on the left-hand side but to see him move away permanently rather than on a temporary switch has caused some debate amongst Leeds fans.
After seeing the news on Twitter, they flocked to the social media platform to have their say. One supporter said that questions needed asking of Andrea Radrizzani whilst another labelled the move as very strange.
A host of fans were left puzzled by the transfer. One posed the question of what the point of their academy was whilst another couldn’t get their head around what was going on.
Oduor only signed a new deal in February, meaning Leeds have taken a u-turn on his future by selling him this summer.
The 20-year-old had only featured once for the Leeds senior team, appearing for three minutes in the FA Cup.
Here’s the best of the reaction.
Serious questions need asking of @andrearadri

Fire sale continues !! Stripping the club down to its bare bones – what’s point of an academy if we sell all the players that have potential – Clarke a great example …

Why have we sold him phil? Doesn’t make sense because it can’t be for anything but peanuts

What is going on Phil?.That’s three youngsters who many thought had a chance of a breakthrough or time off the bench. All sold for what I can only imagine are nominal fees. Something isn’t right particularly when you admit Bielsa rated him?

Is Radrizzani prepping the club for sale? Feels very much that way.

Strange one as he looked a decent player and was in and around the 1st team? But good luck to the lad!
