Leeds fans are unhappy with Heckingbottom’s transfer comments

Leeds fans are furious with Paul Heckingbottom, after the manager claimed the squad does not need a “major overhaul” this summer.

There hasn’t been much to cheer about at Elland Road since Christmas, and Leeds fans have just about had enough of the current squad. The massive influx of players last summer has not had the desired effect, and the team has crumbled in the second half of the season.

Paul Heckingbottom’s side have picked up just eight points since Christmas, but the manager insists the side does not need major changes this summer.

While the boss clearly does want a couple of new faces, Leeds fans aren’t particularly hopeful it will be quality over quantity, and are only growing more infuriated with their club’s transfer business.

Only Pierre-Michel Lasogga has delivered the goods from last summer’s underwhelming transfer dealings, and the 28-year-old is due to return to Hamburg this summer.

Leeds welcome Sheffield Wednesday to Elland Road on Saturday, and will be hoping to kick-start a positive end to the season. Fans are fed up with this season already though, and aren’t too optimistic about the summer either after the manager’s comments.
