Leeds fans bash Roofe on return to training

Leeds fans have been reacting to the news that Kemar Roofe is back in training, and they don’t seem all that excited about it.

It’s been a miserable time at Elland Road since Boxing Day, and Leeds have won just twice since ex-Barnsley man Paul Heckingbottom took over as manager.

While the side haven’t exactly looked solid defensively, the lack of both creativity and goals has undoubtedly been the biggest problem, with practically every attacking player struggling for form.

Pierre-Michel Lasogga was an instant hit when he arrived at Elland Road, but his goals have dried up and the manager has turned to Caleb Ekuban.

24 year-old Ekuban hasn’t impressed either, managing just one league goal in his first season with the club.

Roofe has missed the last seven matches with an injury, after the 25 year-old scored nine times in the league so far this season.

While it feels hard to disagree he would be an upgrade on Ekuban, fans have been bashing Roofe’s return to training on Twitter, and some of the best reactions can be found below…
