Caleb Ekuban’s goal against Bolton proved to be little more than a flash in the pan, and Leeds fans are crucifying the striker for his miss against Fulham.
Not many Leeds fans expected to get anything from Tuesday night’s visit to Fulham. Slavisa Jokanovic’s side are absolutely flying as they look to push Cardiff all the way for an automatic promotion place.
The 2-0 scoreline doesn’t really represent how fine the margins were though, as Leeds striker Caleb Ekuban missed a golden opportunity to level the scores shortly before the second Fulham goal.
Ekuban has taken plenty of criticism from fans at Elland Road, but some were hopeful of a resurgence for the 24 year-old when he found the net against Bolton last week, despite the fact that he really should have scored a couple more in the win.
The Ghanaian striker has missed several one-on-one chances this season, and is clearly struggling with his confidence.
It’s probably best he stays off social media for the next few days, as fans have been absolutely butchering him on Twitter.
Some of the best reactions can be found below…
JFK would still be alive if Ekuban had taken three shots at him from the book depository #lufc

He’s 24 years old and a professional footballer he should be able to deal with the ball no matter what side of his body it comes across you’re taught to play with both feet as much as you can when you’re at school it’s page one stuff this

Was at Tesco earlier in a queue behind Ekuban. He finally went one-on-one with the checkout lady, missed the conveyor and punted his shopping into the car park.

After watching Ekuban I'm simply stunned that more clubs don't sign players from the Albanian Eighth Division

Okay… I'm totally fine with Ekuban never playing for us again. #lufc
