Former Leeds captain Rodolph Austin has shared a story of when he was at the club, and many fans have taken the opportunity to thank and praise him for the contribution he made during his stint at Elland Road.
The story comes from when he first joined the club, when he knew little of the history and customs that came with being a Leeds player. However, he soon found out when he tried to buy a red car.

He explains that the salesman wouldn’t allow him to purchase the vehicle due to its connotations with rivals Manchester United, and from that moment he understood what the rivalry meant to the Whites.
Austin spent three years in West Yorkshire before he was released, with Kalvin Phillips ultimately acting as his long-term successor in the middle of the park.
Despite his departure, many supporters have fond memories of the midfielder and the desire and commitment he showed on a regular basis, as the following reactions show.
