Leeds United announced via their official Twitter account on Wednesday that striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga had returned to training as he “continued his recovery”, and Whites fans were divided on the news.

The 25-year-old has been absent since he was substituted off at half-time in the 3-1 defeat against Brentford at Griffin Park at the start of November, with the club yet to specify what exactly the injury was that the Hamburg loanee has been suffering from.
Plenty of rumours flew about that he had fallen out with Thomas Christiansen and wouldn’t play for the club again, but it seems the centre-forward – who has scored five goals provided a further four assists in 10 Championship appearances this season – is now close to a return.
Leeds supporters were quick to have their say on the big announcement via social media, and they were divided with their opinions.
While one said it was “amazing news”, another simply said “don’t care”.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
Great news, our best forward, can’t wait til he’s back

We play better without a target man can he stay away a bit longer.

I would prefer him to stay off the pitch. No much more driving force from us when he isn't there slowing the play down

Best finisher we have, glad to see him back.

Don’t care, Roofe is a better striker and he proved that last Saturday

Tell him to take his time and not rush back. He should rest until the end of the season
