Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa has hinted that he could make lots of changes from the team that beat Derby County 4-1 on Saturday for the Carabao Cup tie against Bolton Wanderers at Elland Road on Tuesday night, but Whites fans don’t expect the rarely-seen Yosuke Ideguchi to feature.
The Yorkshire club only signed the Japan international on a four-and-a-half year deal in January, but he already looks to be out of favour under Bielsa after the Argentine admitted that the midfielder isn’t a first or second choice in the centre of the park.
Even though the 63-year-old is willing to give some fringe players a chance to impress following an outstanding start to their Championship campaign, the 21-year-old looks to face a battle to make the 18 against the Trotters.
Leeds supporters, some of whom have called upon Bielsa to axe a key first-team star in 2018, have been quick to have their say on the Victor Orta buy via social media, and while one said “I doubt Ideguchi will play”, another said “love to see Ideguchi… sadly won’t happen”.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
Sounds like ideguchi isnt gonna be involved in the first team squad from the way bielsa was talking the othet week

Don’t think Ideguchi will feature. Shakleton RWB. Berardi to stay CB and Shaunessey benched as it’s still early in his recovery. Think Phillips will also keep his place with Jack Clarke potentially up front with the guys you’ve named.

There are no plans to include Ideguchi this season according to Bielsa and he could move (said last week)
