Leeds fans enjoy Patrick Bamford’s goalscoring return

Leeds United recorded their fifth league win in succession with a 1-0 victory over a dogged Bolton Wanderers side. The three points took Marcelo Bielsa’s outfit back to the top of the Championship table.

The hero on the day was Patrick Bamford. The 25-year-old arrived at Elland Road this summer, but didn’t have much chance to get up and running for his new club before suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury in September.

After a spell on the sidelines, the Grantham-born forward made his return from the bench on Saturday. He had only been on the pitch five minutes before he announced his comeback with a bang by producing a smart finish to put the Whites one up.
