Leeds United centre-back Pontus Jansson is a transfer target for West Bromwich Albion according to Swedish news outlet Expressen.
The colossal Swede joined Leeds in 2016 on a one year loan, then made his move permanent to the Yorkshire club last summer.
During his loan spell, his partnership with Kyle Bartley appeared indestructible and the central defender quickly became a cult hero among Leeds fans.
Last season, he made 42 appearances but didn’t match his performances from the season before without the impressive Bartley alongside him.
Now the former Malmo player is a transfer target for West Brom with Darren Moore looking to rebuild the squad as they prepare for life in the Championship.
Jansson is valued at £5.4million on Transfermarkt and the World Cup player will be a big loss with Leeds having so far made just one signing this summer.
Leeds fans have been reacting to the rumours on social media and here’s a snapshot of what they’ve been saying.
If this happens I’ll be litterally chasing Radrizzani out of the club Cellino taxi style.

Knowing us we will sell

Got a funny feeling we will sell a big hitter in the squad like they did with wood just before the TF window shut. I personally wouldn’t be suprised.

Can’t see pontus leaving for anything other than prem or top division in Europe. Sideways step if he does

TBF you wouldn’t blame him if he wanted to leave . WBA showing their intent and us showing a lack of it.
