Leeds fans feel club should have signed Lasogga

Pierre-Michel Lasogga scored 10 times in 33 appearances whilst on loan at Leeds United during the 2017-18 campaign.

It is thought that Leeds could have signed the 26-year-old on a permanent deal during the summer if they had wished, but the club ultimately pursued other options.

Lasogga returned to parent club Hamburger SV, and has been in brilliant form for the German outfit this season, scoring 11 times in 14 appearances.

Granted, Hamburger SV now operate in the second tier of German football, but a record of seven goals in 12 league matches this season is to be respected.

A number of Leeds fans have been on social media discussing Lasogga, and it would be fair to say that there are those who feel that the club made a mistake not signing him on a permanent deal.

Leeds have performed well in the Championship this season, and currently sit third. Marcelo Bielsa’s side were thumped 4-1 at West Bromwich Albion at the weekend, however, which was a bit of a reality check.
