Leeds fans fume as Derby win Jozefzoon race

Leeds fans are raging about the latest transfer update, as it seems the club have missed out on yet another potential coup to a Championship rival.

Marcelo Bielsa was expected to transform the Leeds squad this summer. The squad had far too many players who simply weren’t up to scratch, and the new boss has certainly done his part shifting some of the dead wood.

It seems bringing players in is proving far more difficult though, as Florian Jozefzoon will join Derby County.

Leeds met the player’s price tag on Thursday morning, meeting with Brentford to discuss a £3m deal.

It appears the Rams have won the race for the 27 year-old though, as Phil Hay of the Yorkshire Evening Post reports the player will sign a four-year deal with Frank Lampard’s side.

Fans were furious when Nottingham Forest secured a bargain deal for Lewis Grabban, and they’re not happy about missing out on Jozefzoon either. Unlike the Brentford attacker, Grabban was never a target for Leeds, but the very fact that their rivals are showing intent while they stand still is angering plenty of fans.
