Leeds fans have been discussing the poor form of the remaining playoff candidates, and they’re fuming that their side have passed up the chance to be in the race.
This is normally the time of year where the playoff hopefuls find their form, with the exception of Derby County of course, who seem to get worse as the season nears its end.
This season however, there are six teams vying for the last two playoff places, and of those six only Millwall could really be considered to be in their best form.
Excluding Millwall, none of the teams from Aston Villa in 4th to Preston North End in 10th have more than one win in their last four games, and Leeds fans are furious that they haven’t kept pace.
Leeds were looking nailed on for a playoff spot before Christmas, but a torrid run of form since then has left the side dangling in mid-table, just waiting for the season to end.
Aston Villa are probably safe in 4th, seven points clear of 7th, but the remaining two spots are up for grabs. Barring something remarkable, Leeds’ awful run of form in 2018 has excluded them from the worst playoff race in recent memory, and fans are not happy about it.

Exactly this. All we had to be was not terrible. Not even good, just not so terrifyingly bad. Even three wins – let’s say Reading, Wendies and 2-1 up v Derby in injury time – and we suddenly have an exciting run in. Sick of it.

Absolutely furious with our inability to capitalise on progress made last year. We go on about how difficult this league is. Its nonsense. We've barely won a game this year and are only 3 wins from top6. This league is garbage. No offence to them but millwall, Cardiff prove that

A win tonight and we are officially safe from relegation!

Wood, Taylor, Bridcutt, Green & Bartley! No chance with this squad or manager.

Just like the opportunity we missed last season. Everyday is Like Sunday as far as Leeds United is concerned. Sick of it.

We’ll be fighting relegation next season. It’ll be how many points to keep us safe. Headinbottom needs to go.

The missed opportunity is embarrassing, this should of been the year to get out of this prison.
The standard of the league is very ordinary and we've ballsed it up again.
