Leeds United will begin their 2018-19 Championship campaign with a clash against Stoke City on August 5.
The new season really is only just around the corner, but head coach Marcelo Bielsa has thus far been frustrated in the transfer market.
The Whites have managed to secure the loan signings of Lewis Baker and Jamal Blackman from Chelsea, but have been frustrated in their pursuit of a number of transfer targets – including Derby County’s Matej Vydra.
Leeds announced on Friday that defender Liam Kitching had signed a new contract with the club before re-joining Harrogate Town on loan.
And the news went down like an absolute lead balloon.
That is not to say that the Leeds fans were not pleased for 18-year-old Kitching, but they are becoming increasingly frustrated with their club’s lack of permanent signings.
A selection of the Twitter reaction from the club’s unhappy supporters can be seen below:

100% the club still think deadline day didn’t get changed and is still 31st August and not 9th August

Good luck to the lad but can I suggest you sign decent established players who you WONT becloaning out. The whole lack of transfer saga is beyond belief and not conducive to having a team able to compete. Totally bored already and the season hasn’t even begun.
