Leeds fans hate Bielsa’s preference for Forshaw over Phillips

Loads of Leeds fans have been giving their verdict on an important decision for Marcelo Bielsa, as reports claim the boss could bench Kalvin Phillips on Wednesday.

After becoming somewhat of a scapegoat under Paul Heckingbottom, Phillips has blossomed into one of Bielsa’s most trustworthy and versatile players.

“The Yorkshire Pirlo”, as he has been anointed by the Elland Road faithful, equalised in the 101st minute to earn his side a point at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday.

Despite this, The Yorkshire Evening Post report that Bielsa could be forced to choose between Phillips and Adam Forshaw when Swansea visit Elland Road on Wednesday evening.

Phil Hay, who covers Leeds for the Post, has gone one further, stating that Bielsa said Forshaw would have started at Boro if he was fit.

Forshaw had taken over from Phillips during the youngster’s red card suspension, but fans haven’t been too impressed by the ex-Boro man, especially after his nightmare display against Norwich.

With Bielsa seemingly leaning towards Forshaw, it’s pretty clear who fans want to start, and you can see the best Twitter reactions down below…
