Loads of Leeds fans have been heaping praise on Kalvin Phillips, as the midfielder has looked like a completely different player under Marcelo Bielsa.
There have been plenty of impressive performances in the first two wins under Bielsa. Samuel Saiz has been phenomenal, Liam Cooper is atoning for his poor showings last season, and Kemar Roofe is in sensational form.
One man that has flown slightly under the radar though is Phillips, tasked with doing the dirty work in midfield.
Mateusz Klich has been getting loads of plaudits, roaming forward, linking up play and grabbing goals, but it’s Phillips’ work at the base of the midfield that allows the Polish international to do that.
In truth, the 22 year-old was really poor last season, but playing in a slightly deeper role, he has been absolutely everywhere, breaking up play and moving the ball forward.
The tough-tackling midfielder won 100 per cent of his aerial duels in the win at Derby, and boasted an impressive 87 per cent pass success rate, the highest of any of the 22 starters at Pride Park, as per WhoScored.
Fans are absolutely loving the new-look Phillips, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…

You were awesome, as the holding midfielder, ! A comparison to the great Billy Bremner !

No one will ever convince me Kalvin Phillips has been anything other than average to poor over the past two years…. and as one of his biggest critics I’m buzzing to concede that this deep Mascherano style role seems a perfect fit for him. Been immense #lufc

As a KP fan I’m not surprised by his continued improvement, sure he still as a mistake in him, he is still learning, but I think he is a true work horse with a little bit of stallion at times, says a lot about you to give him credit as well, I hope he convinces you even more 😁😎

A young player who has been crying out for some guidance. There’s always been a player there. Perhaps more a manager’s player than a fan’s player. The criticism from some sections has been a bit shameful at times.
