Leeds fans hope Jamal Blackman is the start of a transfer spree

Leeds United have announced their second signing of the summer with Chelsea goalkeeper Jamal Blackman arriving on loan for the season.

The  24-year-old Blackman spent last season on loan at Sheffield United, making 31 appearances for the Blades, keeping eight clean sheets.

He is both the second arrival at Elland Road this summer and the second season long loan from Chelsea after midfielder Lewis Baker joined the Whites earlier in the transfer window.

Leeds were previously rumoured to be interested in Manchester City goalkeeper Angus Gunn but he joined Southampton on a permanent deal for £13.5million.
