Leeds United’s Under-23 side suffered a 2-0 defeat to Bolton Under-23s on Monday, but the performance of Aapo Halme caught the attention of the club’s supporters.

Halme joined Leeds from HJK Helsinki in January, but picked up a serious foot injury during one of his first training sessions with the English club.

As a result, the 20-year-old missed the second half of last season in what was a huge blow, but has been involved for the club’s Under-23 outfit since last month.

Halme is believed to be in the thoughts of first-team boss Marcelo Bielsa, and the Leeds fans have been reacting to his performance for the Under-23s earlier this week.

Leeds have had problems at centre-back this season due to injuries, and it would be a big boost for the Championship leaders if Halme could get himself fully fit entering the latter stages of 2018.
