According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United want to sign Manchester City goalkeeper Angus Gunn on loan for the 2018-19 campaign.
Gunn spent last season on loan in the Championship with Norwich City, and the 22-year-old’s performances have attracted a lot of attention.
The Englishman is once again expected to leave his parent club ahead of the new season, and Scottish champions Celtic are one of the teams believed to be in the hunt.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds are also very much competing to sign the highly-rated stopper on loan for the 2018-19 season.
The Whites are believed to want Gunn to provide competition for Bailey Peacock-Farrell, who ended the season as the club’s number one following the struggles of Felix Wiedwald.
Wiedwald is expected to move on this summer, and it would be fair to say that the Leeds fans would welcome the arrival of Gunn.

Gunn is a cut above Stockdale, for you fans who claim the latter is better than the former, you need to start watching football matches. One is being released by Birmingham, who were battling relegation, the other is training with the World Cup squad, think about it.#LUFC

Angus Gunn and BPF competing for the number one shirt. Would already be an improvement on last seasons squad! #lufc

What’s all the fuss about Angus Gunn coming and upsetting BPF? If he’s better than him and we can get AG then do it.Simple.#lufc

Small part of me thinks our ‘interest’ Hernandez and Gunn is just posturing. Both will be on the sort of money we’ve never wanted to part with before, and both of whom are linked with clubs that have greater pulling power. Would love to be proven wrong though. #lufc

Gunn would be a quality signing tbf. Not sure what we do with BPF though if we get him. If we loan him it needs to be a lower champ club imo, wouldn't benefit from league 1 and at a lower champ club he'd have more to do.

#lufc Gunn one of the best keepers in the league last year and his performances in the cup against prem teams were next level. If leeds get him I'd be very happy
