Leeds fans infuriated by Bamba form

Leeds fans have been discussing the fantastic form of Cardiff defender Sol Bamba, and they are certainly missing the Ivory Coast international.

Bamba was appointed Leeds captain shortly after his permanent arrival from Palermo in 2015, after impressing during his loan spell at Elland Road.

Things turned sour for the 33 year-old though, and bad performances coupled with public criticism of then owner Massimo Cellino put an end to his Leeds career.

The towering centre back has excelled since joining Neil Warnock at Cardiff though, and has been a major part of the Bluebirds’ fantastic season. They sit second, just six points behind highflying Wolves.

Bamba has had a tremendous season, grabbing four goals and earning an impressive 7.58 WhoScored rating across 35 Championship starts. The 33 year-old has 98 interceptions in the league this season, twice as many as any Leeds player.

He has also won an incredible 151 aerial duels and won 96 tackles, which is the sixth highest number in the division.
