Leeds fans name Pablo Hernandez as their best player since relegation

Leeds United fans on Twitter have been waxing lyrical about Pablo Hernandez as many supporters named him as the best player to play for the club since their relegation in 2004.

The Spaniard signed a new contract on Tuesday evening that will keep him at the club until at least 2022, and this news, of course, meant that a number of fans wanted to pay tribute to him.

One fan had a very hot take as he stated that Hernandez is the best player to line up for the club since they dropped out of the top-flight 15 years ago, and many agreed.

It’s not as if Leeds haven’t had some supremely talented players during that time either.

Elland Road has seen eventual Premier League winner such as Fabian Delph and Kasper Schmeichel as well as future England internationals such as Lewis Cook, but in the eyes of many United supporters, Hernandez is the best of the lot.
