Leeds fans praise Patrick Bamford after video of him pressing circulates

Patrick Bamford gets a lot of stick from the Leeds United fanbase.

You can understand some of it. The striker hasn’t scored in any of his previous seven matches prior to facing Preston last night, and it’s Leeds’ lack of quality in front of goal that often lets them down.

Bamford can certainly be a frustrating player, and with Leeds coming so close to promotion last term you can forgive for why tensions are high amongst the supporters.

However, the former Middlesbrough man’s game is about so much more than goals, and a video that did the rounds on Twitter this week shows exactly what he brings to the squad.

The clip shows the attacker working his socks off to press the Birmingham City backline last weekend and win possession back for his team.

Understandably, some supporters were very impressed by this footage, and they took to Twitter to actually praise the 26-year-old.
