Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has revealed that he will not make any changes to his starting XI for Friday’s Championship clash with Sheffield Wednesday.
Leeds suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Birmingham City at the weekend, and it had been thought that Bielsa would make alterations for the trip to Sheffield Wednesday this week.
However, Bielsa, speaking at his pre-match press conference, has revealed that he will select the same starting XI from the Birmingham fixture.
Kemar Roofe is closing on a return to first-team action, but this week’s match will come too soon for the club’s leading scorer this season.
As a result, Tyler Roberts will again start as the lone forward, with Kalvin Phillips again operating at the base of the midfield.

The Leeds fans have been on social media reacting to the news, and whilst there are those pleased with Bielsa’s confidence, others feel that the experienced manager has made a mistake revealing his starting XI at this stage.
A selection of the Twitter reaction from the Leeds fans can be seen below:

Alioski had an atrocious game at the weekend and if Hernandez wasn’t injured he wouldn’t be starting.
