Leeds fans react as Casey pens professional deal

Loads of Leeds fans have been reacting to a big club update, as the Whites have signed 17-year-old Oliver Casey to his first professional deal.

Leeds have announced Casey has agreed professional terms with the club, penning a deal until 2020.

The young defender was a part of the impressive Under-18 side that won last season’s Professional Development League North.

Since then, he has excelled in Carlos Corberan’s Under-23 side, and his emergence could be a huge boost for Marcelo Bielsa.

The boss is quite literally running out of options at the back, as Pontus Jansson has joined Gaetano Berardi and Luke Ayling on the injury list.

Liam Cooper and Conor Shaughnessy are now the only fit centre-backs at the club, and while Bielsa probably wasn’t planning on throwing Casey right in, he may actually be forced to.
