Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after former Stoke and Derby boss Gary Rowett doubted their chances of finishing in the automatic promotion places, whilst speaking on Sky Sports’ EFL Matters.
Rowett, who was sacked by Stoke earlier in the campaign with the pre-season promotion favourites languishing in mid-table, said: “I’m not sure they will be,” when asked if Marcelo Bielsa’s side will end up in the Championship top two.
“They didn’t have a great opportunity to strengthen in this last window and if you look they’ve got a really young side, which you can applaud them for, they’ve got an incredible energy.

“But when you’re a team that relies on that energy so much, you wonder whether they can maintain it.”
Leeds have lost four of their last six games having previously sat at the top of the table, and the 44-year-old’s comments have sparked a reaction from a number of the club’s fans on Twitter…

I take issue with the word pundit? Should it not be failed manager?

Funny how he didn’t say this as we were winning games at a canter. Easy to sound smart (ish) when we’ve lost 4/6. More 3rd rate punditry.

Odds on him piping back down again and waiting for the next relegation-threatened side to sack their manager
