Loads of Leeds fans have been heaping praise on Pablo Hernandez, as the Spaniard has been crowned the PFA Championship fans’ player of the month for August.
Leeds had an absolutely electric start to the season, and it’s hardly surprising to see Hernandez awarded for his efforts.
The veteran winger’s injury last season was very costly for Paul Heckingbottom, as without him the side looked completely lost.
While Marcelo Bielsa will likely fare better if Hernandez misses any significant time, there is no doubt he still Leeds’ main creative outlet.
The 33 year-old scored or assisted in all of Leeds’ Championship matches in the month of August, including a beautiful strike in the demolition of Norwich.
His two assists against Derby stand out firmly in the memory as well, as the fan favourite seems to make all the players around him better on a consistent basis.
Keeping Hernandez fit will be key to Bielsa’s promotion push, and fans are heaping praise on the winger for his August efforts. You can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
Why didn’t he deserve it? He’s been our main man in the middle of the park and it clearly showed when he didn’t play against boro.
