Leeds United attacker Pablo Hernandez was bafflingly omitted when the SkyBet Championship Team of the Season was announced on Tuesday night, and Whites fans were quick to show their dismay and confusion on Twitter.

With the Yorkshire outfit well in the race for automatic promotion and with the 33-year-old – arguably one of the best players in the division – scoring 10 goals and providing a further 11 assists in 31 league outings this term, you’d have thought he was a shoo-in for a spot.
That didn’t turn out to be the case though as the likes of Jarred Bowen and Oliver Norwood were named in the XI ahead of the Spaniard.
Those Leeds supporters that did react were clearly both confused and angry with the EFL over the decision, with plenty labelling the call on the 5 ft 8 ace as a “joke”.
Another challenged Hernandez to prove in the final eight matches of the campaign that they have got it completely wrong, as Marcelo Bielsa’s men remain well in contention to finally make it back to the Premier League.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
Proud that Phillips and Cooper are in there but no Pablo? Seriously? It's a joke that is.
