Loads of Leeds fans have been reacting to an update from one of their international stars, as Bailey Peacock-Farrell has rejected offers to become an England international.
According to reports, England were interesting in convincing Peacock-Farrell to switch allegiances, but the Leeds youngster will stick with Northern Ireland.
The 21 year-old says England’s goalkeeper coaches have called him regularly to enquire about bringing him into the fold, but insists that he will remain loyal to Northern Ireland and manager Michael O’Neill.
As he has not yet made a senior appearance, he could make the switch, but fans are loving his show of loyalty.
The young stopper was thrust into the fold at Elland Road last season after the awful form of Felix Wiedwald, and has impressed in his 18 Championship appearances so far.
He still has mistakes in him, but perhaps with the coaching from both O’Neill and Bielsa he can fulfil his obvious potential.

He’ll be no 1 for Ni, makes sense really

Its great that England are sniffing around him but England have plenty of keepers, he should stick with NI, nigh on guaranteed regular international football.

I hope he chooses what’s right for his country of birth first, and his career second.
It’s a decision which shouldn’t be rushed

Good on the lad

Good. The England goalie is always treated disgracefully by the tabloid media. It will be Pickford’s turn soon. Bailey’s better off out of it.

Smart decision, we all want him to see him get international game time
