LeedsUnited’s U23s played out a stunning clash with Burnley on Tuesday, with United coming out 6-3 winners – yes, six – and young midfielder Jack Clarke was hugely impressive after coming off the bench.
The 19-year-old assisted two goals and also put his own name on the scoresheet almost immediately after coming on as he found the top corner superbly.
Last week, The Sun reported that none other than Manchester City were in the hunt for the Peacocks wonder-kid, with Pep Guardiola apparently ready to make a move after seeing his impact off the bench against Sheffield United earlier in December – the youngster replaced Ezgjan Alioksi before assisting Pablo Hernandez’s late winner.
The Irishman’s performance for the development side will have only stoked City’s interest and Marcelo Bielsa and co may have a real fight on their hands to keep the lad come January.
Here’s how Leeds fans on Twitter reacted to his performance.

1 goal and 2 assists in 45 mins🤔It's getting beyond embarrassing that Alioski is still being picked in front of him.
