Leeds fans react to Klich leaving Elland Road

Leeds United announced on Monday that midfielder Mateusz Klich had left the club to join FC Urecht on loan for the remainder of the season.

Klich joined the Championship club from FC Twente last summer, but has struggled to make his mark at Elland Road.

Indeed, the 27-year-old has only made five Championship appearances during the 2017-18 campaign, with half of his football this term coming in the cup competitions.

Klich, who is valued at £1.8m by transfermarkt.co.uk, is a Poland international of 10 caps, but it has just not happened for him in English football.

To be honest, it is not much of a surprise that the midfielder has returned to Dutch football having impressed for Twente during the 2016-17 season – scoring six times in 29 league appearances.

Leeds fans took to social media on Monday to react to the transfer news, and the majority have taken a positive view on the move.
