Leeds United revealed on Tuesday afternoon that Patrick Bamford was facing four months on the sidelines with a knee injury.
Bamford picked up the problem whilst representing Leeds’ Under-23 team against Bristol City Under-23s at Elland Road last Friday.
The Whites have only just discovered the extent of the damage, and it is not particularly good news with a PCL injury confirmed.
Bamford joined Leeds from Middlesbrough during the summer, and has scored once in seven appearances for the Whites in all competitions.

The 25-year-old has had to play second fiddle to Kemar Roofe in the league, but has impressed in his five Championship appearances for Marcelo Bielsa’s team.
It is a bitter blow for Bamford when considering how well Leeds have started the 2018-19 campaign.
