Leeds United fans on Twitter have been relishing Sheffield United’s injury crisis after Chris Basham and Billy Sharp were ruled out of the games during the Easter period.
Basham and Sharp have been two of United’s most important players this season with Sharp topping the club’s scoring charts having netted 23 times in the league so far.
Basham has been a part of a defence which has conceded the lowest number of goals in the Championship, so these two injuries will leave the Blades lacking at both ends of the pitch.
With the fixture congestion over the Easter period, Chris Wilder’s side will be without his two key players for one of the most important spells of the season.
It is unknown how long both players will be out for.
The Whites are currently three points ahead of their Yorkshire rivals in the race for promotion. Fans on Twitter have been gloating after the injury updates safe in the knowledge that this could spell the end of Sheffield Utd’s promotion chances.
