Loads of Leeds fans have been reacting to the latest transfer news, as it looks like Ronaldo Vieira’s time at Elland Road has come to an end.
According to Sky Sports, Vieira is close to a £6.2m switch to Serie A side Sampdoria.
The 20 year-old is expected to complete his medical on Tuesday, after making 63 Championship appearances with Leeds.
Sampdoria were originally chasing West Ham’s Pedro Obiang, and it looks like the Hammers’ insistence on keeping their wiry midfielder has turned the Italians’ attention towards Vieira.

The young midfielder has shown glimpses of brilliance at Elland Road, and it seems bizarre to sell a talented youngster when the club are short of quality options in midfield.
On the other hand, fans wanted a manager that puts his foot down and picks the players he wants, and it’s clear that the boss has no place for the youngster in his new look Leeds team.
Fans aren’t convinced, with some happy to back Bielsa’s call, and others bashing the decision to cash in on Vieira so soon.
Either way, you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
I think you’re misreading this one. Bielsa doesn’t want him. I don’t agree with it, but that’s it. Not to raise cash to buy players – I’d bet the club are as shocked as we are. But we wanted a manager who calls the shots and that is exactly what we’ve got. We won’t like it all.

Bizarre how we sell youth players continually. Lessons still not learnt.

Sell to buy policy again! Why do Leeds always end up with penniless owners?

Good business. Bang average. Not going to play this year. Take the money whilst we can. It’s really not rocket science to work out why the club have accepted the offer.

Incredible how he has apparently gone from our most promising youngster since Cook to ‘absolute drivel with an awful first touch etc’ in one season…. Short memories and all that. I’ve no doubt we will regret this transfer

Even if the money is a straight swap for Bamford, I feel we need Bamford more right now. It’s the right deal at the right time.

Got a feeling we will regret this, id put a buyback clause or a high sell on fee

A lovely player when on top form but sadly that wasn’t often enough. He could go on to develop into a brilliant player but on balance I think it’s good business so long as we use the cash wisely to strengthen the team.

I find this baffling but I suppose we will see.
