Leeds fans split on whether a move for Kirchhoff would benefit the squad

The Leeds fans that responded to our poll were split over whether a move for free-agent Jan Kirchhoff would be a good move, with just over half supporting a potential deal.

Leeds are sitting at the top of the Championship table with 15 points from their first seven league matches under their new boss Marcelo Bielsa, but they had Norwich to thank for beating Middlesbrough when the Whites could only secure one point away at Millwall on Saturday, meaning they remained as leaders.

Bielsa’s side have had an extremely strong start to the season but they have a small squad and injuries have started to have an effect, with strikers Kemar Roofe and new signing Patrick Bamford both missing the trip to Millwall.

In defence, full-backs Gaetano Berardi and Luke Ayling have both had to fill in at centre-back already this season and 27-year-old Kirchhoff could be a perfect option on a free transfer.

Just 52 per cent of Leeds fans said they would support a deal for the former Sunderland, Mainz, Schalke and Bayern Munich man though. Check out the full results below.
