Leeds fans tip Klich to impress under Bielsa

Mateusz Klich joined Leeds United from FC Twente in last summer’s transfer window.

The Poland international arrived with a big reputation, but only made four Championship appearances for the club before moving to FC Utrecht on loan.

Klich is now back with the Whites ahead of the 2018-19 Championship season, and will be looking to impress head coach Marcelo Bielsa during pre-season.

The 28-year-old was a part of the Leeds team that drew 1-1 with York City in a friendly on Thursday night, and his performance left a positive impression.

His absence from the squad that took on Forest Green Rovers suggested that Bielsa would not be having a look at Klich this summer.

However, the 6ft midfielder was in action against York, and the Leeds supporters were delighted with his performance in the pre-season clash.

Leeds have been frustrated in their pursuit of a number of players this summer – including Derby County’s Matej Vydra – but Klich looks capable of playing a key role under Bielsa this season.
